FAQ
With the sheer number of app stores that come bundled on different e-readers or tablets it could be daunting to find the book and comic apps you want to install on your unit. The purpose of our web based app store is to give you a great alternative to many of the markets that don’t put a emphasis on ebook reading applications.
The Amazon Kindle Fire, Kobo VOX, Cruz Reader, Pandigital Novel and many more tablets often make you rely on their own ecosystem to get apps. What if you have a Kobo Vox and you want to install the Nook or Kindle APP? The dedicated store Kobo.Getjar.com does not have any alternative readers. The Kindle Fire and the Amazon App Store does not give you a ton of variety either.
There are two different ways you can install our apps on your e-reader or tablet
1) Web Based Installs
If you want to download any of our Comic Book, e-Reader, Games or Essential Apps like Adobe Flash or Google Earth it is very easy to do it! All you have to do is load our main page in your tablet/e-readers web browser. Once you load up http://goodereader.com/apps/ you can look for the apps you want to install. Simply click on the app and then the download link and it will download the (APK) or (Android Install File) directly to your device. It will then often give you a notification that you can now install the application. Simply click Install or swipe downwards on the top black bar and you can install the app. This is a great way to enjoy apps you can’t normally get. Remember, none of our Android files are ZIPPED and are the full Android installation files, they are all hosted on our own Goodereader servers.
2) Downloading to your PC
If you do not have a dedicated WIFI connection or if internet downloads directly to your tablet/ereader is not in the cards, don’t worry. You can simply download any of our apps directly to your PC and then transfer them manually to your device. All you need to do is download the APK and then copy it either to your MicroSD/SD card and install it onto your device from that. Alternatively you can plug your device into your PC via the USB cable and copy it to the main memory. Most tablets come with File Explorer or File Manager type apps. You just need to launch one of those and find the app you copied and then launch it. Make sure to goto your Settings menu and and make sure you have allowed 3rd party apps to be installed.
