A new E-Reader from Sovos

By

Sovos E-Reader

Many new E-Readers are coming out lately, with a new one being announced almost every day! We now have a budget conscious offering from Sovos.

This latest E-Reader named the Sovos SVEBK5B is one of the most horribly designed e-readers ever. Most of the time when you have a high end technology items and show it in public, such as the Kindle, iPad or Google Nexus one, people want to know more. I have a feeling this device will incur peoples scorn, mothers will shield their babies eyes, and you might get involved in some choice words with the 2 old men playing checkers.

Aside from the designing you might be wondering what makes the Sovos a unique E-Reader? Well, It utilizes a special Easyread color TFT screen to not only allow you to read books, but you can view photos (JPG & BMP) and watch videos (WMA). You can even listen to music on this device in MP3 format. It has a 5″ display with 1GB of internal memory, an USB 2.0 Slot, and integrated voice recorder function. Battery life on Ebook playback is 7 hours, video 5 hours, and 30 hours listening to music.

An E-Reader is all about what format of e-book it reads effectively, the Sovos reads ANSI, Txt, PDF, HTML, FB2, EPUB. If you are looking to purchase the device, you can do it from Play.com in the UK for around 130.00 US.

Our opinion on this electronic reader, is a pass. If you want a great e-reader for a more cost effective price, take a gander at the new Kobo E-Reader! Not only is it a better quality e-reader but they are backed by Kobo Books and Boarders Book Stores.
