Amazon Kindle Touch WIFI Experiences North American Shortage

By

The Amazon Kindle Touch WIFI and Amazon Kindle Touch with Special Offers is experiencing a shortage in North America. The main Amazon website in both Canada and the USA are reflecting the dwindled stock. When we reached out today directly to various heads of the Kindle division, they confirmed that they are all out for two weeks.

Not only is Amazon itself completely sold out, but major retail partners are also left in the lurch. Best Buy has removed the shipping options for the e-readers and simply stated that the e-readers were “unavailable.” The same story is reflected in other stores such as Walmart and Shop e-Readers.

Back to school season is in full effect and it seems that the low cost entry point to Amazon’s most successful e-reader is reflecting the stock levels. There is no word yet if Amazon is pulling the e-readers altogether to make room for a new generation of Kindles that are due to be announced within the next month.
