By

Here is some good news for those living in the United Kingdom – Amazon.co.uk has announced they have started shipping their latest version of the Kindle e-reader. They also announced their UK Kindle Store has started commencement of operation in that country.

So what this means is that UK residents will get to lay their hands on the brand new lighter and smaller Kindle which will cost them £149 for the one with an integrated 3D modem while the WiFi only version of the kindle will come for £30 less.

Coming to the reading materials on offer, the UK Kindle store will include a diverse range of title to suit almost every reading habit. Then there will of course be the New Releases and Bestsellers sections as usual. Then there will also be on offer in excess of 170 of the most sought after domestic as well as international newspapers and magazines. All of the reading materials will be delivered to the Kindle devices automatically in wireless mode. And in case you are skeptical, there is also a 14 trial offer that can be availed of which comes absolutely free. The Kindle Store also holds a mammoth 400,000 titles that can downloaded.
