Some Interesting Statistics on Kindle Direct Publishing

Just as the picture says: Kindle Direct Publishing is a service that allows authors to take full control over what they publish. If you are an author, it is sometimes difficult to get a publisher to back you. Especially if you are new and have no track record. This way, you are your own boss. Publish for free, publish what you want, and get up to 70% royalties for your work.

    How is this news? Amazon started testing the original version of its self-publishing program in 2007, and launched the current version–the one that Jeff Bezos bragged about–in January 2010 (see http://www.businessinsider.com/henry-blodget-amazon-fires-torpedo-at-book-industry-launches-70-kindle-royalty-option-2010-1.)

    Peter, I congratulate you for realizing that the KDP program wasn’t launched last Thursday and correcting your post. However, if you change the headline and the text (this is NOT the story that I originally replied to), you should note that you’ve updated it.
