Fusion Garage May Have Hit a Dead End Again with the Grid 10

By

The writing on the wall seems to be loud and clear; Fusion Garage may have hit a dead end all over again. The web domains FusionGarage.com and TheJooJoo.com both have ceased to exist, a clear sign of things being seriously wrong with the erstwhile makers of the JooJoo tablet device. Google is only showing the cached version of the Fusion Garage blog site that dates back to the 5th of December, while the last entry recorded is older at October 6, 2011. The last Twitter post for the company was made on December 9, and even the latest dates mentioned above are quickly turning into antiquity in the fast paced tech world.

The American PR agency, McGrath Power, that has been representing Fusion Garage has also stated they are no longer associated with the company.

“Unfortunately, none of our efforts have resulted in any communication from the company to the customers. Given all of this, we don’t have any other choice but to cease working with Fusion Garage effective tomorrow,” the PR Firm revealed.

The Singapore based company’s latest attempt at the tablet segment has been the Grid series of tablets, which came after the JooJoo tablet device. That neither fared well is all too clear, though its not known as of now which of the two, JooJoo or Grid 10, was better.

Fusion Garage has always had a controversial track record, though managed to come back one more time after its initial stint with the JooJoo. Now with the Grid 10 being all but dead, maybe the Fusion Garage story is over once and for all. But then, who knows? Fusion Garage CEO Chandra Rathakrishnan may still have some more rabbits under his hat. Until now, there has been no word from him on this, though it will be interesting to hear his views.
