LG wins FCC clearance for WiFi and 3G versions of G-Slate

By

The LG G-Slate is now past the FCC, which means we might not be too far away from another high profile tablet launch. In fact, things will be all the more exciting with the G-Slate since its not only just another tablet ported with Google Honeycomb, but its the first tablet in the world to come with 3D capabilities. LG has acquired the mandatory FCC certification for both the Wi-Fi only and the Wi-Fi + 3G versions of the G-Slate.

The G-Slate boasts of an integrated stereoscopic 3D camera and sports a display measuring 8.9 inches. This LG claims is just the right size that consumers want with a mobile device.

However, though as it seldom is, there is no information yet as to when we can expect the tablet at the retailers end or what is likely to be its cost. But then, it’s turning out to be a season of tablets already and the G-Slate is expected to break cover soon.
