After doing some research, reading articles, reviews, etc. I have decided to buy the Kindle instead of the Nook. It came down to a few issues mainly regarding ease of use, aesthetics and long term [product] growth. I did try the Nook in person at a local B & N and wasn't all that impressed.

Before I delve into the purchasing of books I want to know if there are any sites that offer the ability to lend, swap, sell or trade eBooks, specifically for the Kindle?

Being a newbie to this site, I am still learning my way around so if I missed something that was obvious, I apologize upfront.

I look forward to some good conversation and learning about and being introduced to some new books and authors.

BTW - NY Times will soon start to publish a list of top eBooks!

Well, this site offers ebooks in mobi format, which your Kindle will use. Should you decide to upgrade your membership, you might find yourself pleased with the ebooks that are available here :)

Thats right, and also we have here a credits and request system. When you purchase credits you can use them to request books from our publisher. Welcome to the forums, I hope you enjoy your stay!
