Hi...new here and I don't have an e-reader yet. I'm really leaning towards Kindle. But what I want to know is if I'll be able to load knit and crochet patterns onto my e-reader if it accepts Adobe, Word, or Word Perfect. These patterns for noncrafters are in the form such as ch3, dc across. ch 3, dc1, ch 2, dc 2. *sk3, dc 2, ch 2 dc 2. Repeat from * across. And can graphics (craft project photos) be loaded? Thanks for any info.

Welcome to the community Scooter!

You shouldn't have any problems getting your patterns loaded onto your e-reader. They all accept and display images just fine. The only thing you will have to be mindful of is that each e-reader accepts specific file types.

If the file type you are starting off with is not supported by your device you will have to convert the file to a format the e-reader can understand. You can easily accomplish this with the free Calibre software.

If you decide to go with the kindle then your options are .doc,.rtf, html, pdf, html or image based pages (jpegs, etc). All of these formats will allow graphics to be shown. Be sure to browse through the rest of the forum for tutorials to help you get your project started.
