View Full Version : Adobe Flash for Sony ereader
Anyone know how (if) Adobe Flash can be installed on a Sony ereader. Would like to play Sudoku on my ereader but it needs Flash. I have a Sony Touch.

You can't get flash on a sony e-reader, its not really supported. If you ROOT the device you can install flash.
Download and unzip the hack from here (http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=ru&u=http://www.the-ebook.org/forum/viewtopic.php%3Ft%3D21458). Look for one that says “package installer”; that’s what you’ll need in order to install apps.
Plug your T1 into your PC and put it in USB mode.
Find the folder for the hack and double click on flash_reader.bat. Read the prompts on the screen and respond.
Let the T1 sit until the software finishes installing. If successful, your T1 will reboot.
If it doesn’t work, you can ask for help here (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=154285). BTW, if you have already hacked the T1 then you might need to install the restore firmware first. That will remove any remaining parts of the hack. If you don’t install the restore then the broken parts might hang around.

Dear Michael Michael Kozlowski,
Thank you very much for your info. I followed your steps and now my PRS-T1 has ADWLauncher EX.
I was still wondering how can I install Adobe Flash in the device. Could you give me any advice?
I just want to listen to online radio while I read... The eReader has Wi-Fi, it has headphones and I can not listen to online music...
Thanks!!

Dear Havoc,
I have followed all the steps explained by Michael and I have my Sony Ereader rooted. I can enter in ADWLauncher but I do not know how to install Adobe Flash in it. I have tried to access AndroidMarket through the ebook but it does not work. I have tried to install the Adobe Flash .apk and I can not find it later in the Ereader...
Once the device is rooted, what can I do to have Adobe Flash and listen to one online radio station (Swedish one)??
Thanks!!
