I appologize if I am asking in the wrong area. I have an Aluratek ereader. I am starting to have issues with ebooks that I transfer to it. All books are in PDF format. Some are fine to read, while others have blank pages, mismatched fonts, fonts so small you cannot read it. I don't think it is the reader, because it doesn't do it with all books. If I open the file on my computer, the book looks fine. Appreciate any suggestions.

I might be having a similar problem, but on my Nook with epub format. I am currently reading 16 Lighthouse Road by Debbie Macomber. There are a tremendous amount of typos. For instance, one of the characters is named Daniel. Whenever his nickname is used, it comes out as Clan rather than Dan and the word that always appears as mat. There are a number of other words that are similar. It looks to me like the book was scanned and the ocr program was not very good and no one proofread the book.

I believe some tools aren't available Aluratek ereader. Only thing I can suggest is that try to change your ereader.. Also sometimes problem is due to resolution :)
So check it out :)

I think it is the book as far as the spelling. Paragraphs running together, sentences separting to new para. and etc. Other books are fine. I just read anyways not a big deal but it can be bothersome.

I have been having the same problem with my Nook. LOTS of typos and such. I was wondering if it was conversion errors or reader errors. I still read the book but it can be frustrating sometimes when you have to reread and try to figure out what word was supposed to be there.

I haven't really had any of these problems with the mobi format, but my husband has had some of these same problems with a few of his books. He said that he thinks it is a scanning problem too. It doesn't bother him enough NOT to read it, but he says it does make for interesting listening when he does his text to speech on his daily commute!

I am having similar problems with epub format. Most books are fine but one shows Link/Header at what is the beginning of each page, which is a bit distracting when it lands in the middle of the screen. Another book showed question marks (?) where a quote or apostrophe should be. The problems are only some books and of course it happens throughout the whole book. Will re-downloading the book help?
