bought a book from bn.com how do I put the book onto my nook color (from computer)

You have to use adobe digital editions to transfer it over, then you can create a shelf under myshelf and add it there, and the cover should appear.

Well, every time I do that it say's there is no default credit card ("go onto Bn.com") because I put my card number on then deleted it right after it downloaded on my computer. I don't want it to charge me again, unless, it will not if i put m credit card number back on and download it from my nook color.
