I am in Canada, and I ordered a Nook Color at Shopereaders.com Of course I am kind of impatient.
Has anyone ordered from Canada, and can tell me how long this is likely to take?

I also ordered from canada. I put my order in last week, but supposedly they won't have any in untill the 11th. they will be getting 100 or so. check out this post http://goodereader.com/forum/showthr...ithin-48-hours
Well, my order came in today (was placed on Dec 28).
I agree with others this company will have to improve a lot in communicating to their customers (feedback was non existent in my case), and the website with the registration thing that does not work. Ah, add packaging to the list of things needing improving.
One thing they have going for them is this forum.

I placed an order on Dec 29th/2010 and I have not received my nook color. I have sent an email and got no reply and I cannot track my order on their website. My order number is 240 from shopereaders.com. I am getting impatient as it seems others who have placed orders after me are getting theirs.

Hi There,
I'm in Vancouver, Canada.
I am looking into buying a nook color but during my research online came across a lot of people having problems purchasing some titles from the B&N online store due to digital rights etc... (purchasing from Canada).
My question is: Am I going to be hard pressed to find other sources to get my ebooks from?
My biggest concern is purchasing the hardware only to be stuck without options to purchase the books I want....
Sorry for straying off topic in this thread. I just wanted to pose the question where I know there are Canadians reading...
Thank you!
Brandon
Hi
I to am looking in to buying a nook. One of the main reasons for purchasing nook is the ePUB format. You can loan library books and buy from anywhere, for instance Chapters. Amazon's format is proprietary to the Kindle but you can still download and convert if you have to. Books from other sources than B&N would have to be placed on the Nook via your computer.

If you are willing to 'root' your device (see elsewhere on this forum) you can install the Kindle app and such from the Android Market. That would give you some more options as well.
Thanks for the response. Its good to hear purchasing ebooks won't be a huge issue. I have no problem getting them onto the reader through my computer.
I have been researching ereaders for a while now, our selection in Vancouver is pretty limited if you're purchasing from in-store.. I really haven't come across anything even remotely comparable to the nook colour out this way.
