Welcome to another Good e-Reader Video Tutorial! In this video we show you how to load ePub eBooks in your Velocity Micro Cruz Reader! This tutorial also is compatible with the Velocity Micro Cruz T301.
This tutorial shows you all of the steps you need to follow to copy non-DRM ePub books to your device. The Micro Cruz is an Android Tablet, so it is incompatible with copying books you have purchased from other book stores in ePub format. So the only books that are compatible are ones from your personal library or ones you have downloaded from the internet.
There are a few programs you need to use in order to copy books to your Cruz Reader. First of all you need to access the Cruz Market on your device and download the Andappstore Android Market. This great market app will not only give you access to a ton of other applications, games and utilities, but you will get the Aldiko eBook reading app. This is the application you will use in order to view ebooks.
Once you install Aldiko you want to create on your device a directory called eBooks/import/ then simply copy your ePub books into that directory. You do this by plugging in your Cruz Reader into your PC via the USB cable that came with the Cruz. Simply copy and paste the books into that directory and then unplug it from your computer. Next, open Aldiko and click on settings and import. It will say its scanning your SD card, but in-fact it is scanning the device memory of your Cruz. You will then see a processing message and it will then the eBooks will show up in your Library.
Once you open a book, click on settings again and you can setup your font, brightness settings, and whether you want to view your books in landscape or portrait mode!
