Question How do I share a book with my spouse?

We are new to the Kobo's.

We both just got one this weekend, and were able to download free books from the kobo site.

When I buy a book however, can I add it to her kobo device and mine?

I was told I can't do this... which means we have to buy the book twice.

I have 14 days to decide whether I am keeping my Kobo or returning it, and this will be the deciding factor.

    Thanks in advance.

I think the Kobo store is pretty lousy..what I do is find OTHER SITES selling or giving Epub books: then I open this in Adobe Digital Editions - on my PC. (and place the book in my ADE Kobo library folder) This way I have the unencrypted epub file on my computer that I can give or send to anyone else.
You will also find the Kobo store absolutely pathetic in terms of free books..far more are available elsewhere.
There is another advantage in the NON kobo store books - you can opy and paste text from them, which I have not yet learned how to do with the KOBO store books, but I am going to ask on this forum if anyone else can!.
