How to stop loading?

If this is a double thread I apologise. I thought I posted about this earler but I can't find my thread. My Kobo says it's 'loading' in a gray screen every time I turn it on. I've restarted it several times but it just keeps coming up as that. It never finishes loading and I don't know what it thinks it's loading. I tried closing any apps it might be downloading but there weren't any. I'm able to get into apps but I can't read anything. This started after it gave me a message yesterday saying that it couldn't connect to Kobo. Ive been waiting all day for Kobo support to get back to me. I don't like the idea that I'm going to have to have a book around in case my Kobo doesn't feel like letting me read because I've had a few problems with it and have had to wait for support a few times and it's getting old fast.

Luckily my daughter figured it out since Kobo support never did get back to me.
