NextIssue sideload for Playbook - does it work?

Is anyone having any luck with the sideloaded NextIssue app? I have a magazine that automatically gives me a NextIssue version with my print sub, and I can't make NextIssue run on my PB - it used to just open to a blank screen and never do anything else; now it throws a "Sorry!" dialog indicating the keyboard has stopped working and I have to force-close, then it sits on the black screen. I would like to know if anyone has made this work and if so how. I have the most current just-released OS update for my PB (came out this week) and I reloaded NextIssue after that update. No help. Rebooted. No help. Is there anything else I can do? Thanks.

I don't see any signs that anyone actually tested or supports any of these apps we can sideload... I sure would appreciate someone else putting this app on their PB and saying if it works or not...
