Default How to Transfer EPUB Files to your Nook

You will download books in epub format, either from our book store, or others. once you have downloaded said book to your computer, do the following.

    1. plug in your USB cable to the nook and then into your USB input on your computer. Most computers have a USB input on the front these days and laptops on the side or back.

    2. You will see windows recognize the device.

    3. Right-click on Start and go to Explore.

    4. Locate your ebook folder

    5. Find the My Documents folder on your nook

6.Grab, drag and drop the ebook into the My Documents folder.

    7. Repeat as necessary

    8. Unplug nook from computer

    9. On the nook do a Search For New Content

    10. You new files should show up in the My Documents folder.

If this does not work, or your Nook will not open the file, you will have to download Adobe Digital Editions

Do you have Adobe Digital Edition loaded to your computer? If not download the software here: http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/#download and activate it. Redownload the book choosing to have it open in DE. Plug your Nook and it should show up in the software with a prompt to activate your Nook. Now you should be able to pull the book and drop it in the Nook.

    Default transfering help

I have down loaded a bunch of books and can not wait to enjoy them. I have Adobe digital editions on my desktop and most of them went into there. a few did not. I have no idea why ?? but the ones that did not I was able to get to my Nook. but my Nook does not "see" them? when I hook it up and I look into the Nook drive I can see them on my laptop as being in the Nook. but unplug and search my doc on the Nook and nothing? also how do I get them out of the Adobe ? I did the Epub files and now am lost

I was transferring content using the Adobe digital edition, but then discovered that, yes, I could just "side load" the epub files. And, they work!
Saves time, aggravation, and makes my Nook even spiffier!

Okay, I've royally messed this all up and don't know how to fix it. In my excitement as a new subscriber, I downloaded & saved some books to the downloads folder in my pc last night, but didn't realize that I didn't have Adobe DE on my computer. I downloaded Adobe DE today, registered with Adobe, authorized my computer, etc., but it wouldn't let me drag any ebooks onto my nook. I then deleted the ebooks and downloaded again, choosing "open" with Adobe DE instead of "save," but now they won't even show up as having downloaded. I'm totally lost here and am hoping someone can help me fix this. Thanks for any help.

All you really need to do, is copy and paste the epub books you download into the documents folder on your nook, you can use windows explorer to do this.

Thanks for the help! Oddly enough, the issue resolved itself overnight. I shut my nook off to go to sleep, and the next day when I turned it back on, everything was there! Ever since, loading new books onto my nook has been a cinch! Sooo happy!!!
