Once you have downloaded the file, double-click the ZIP file to extract it and save it to a convenient location, such as your Desktop. The extracted file is a folder titled “16h”. Inside this folder is another folder titled “firmware” and it contains a BIN file titled “AluratekBook-v0.16h.bin”. Simply copy the folder titled “firmware” to your LIBRE’s SD card.


Now, with the SD card inserted into your LIBRE, RESET your LIBRE. To properly reset the LIBRE, press and hold the RESET button on the back of the LIBRE for 5 seconds using a paperclip or toothpick. Please DO NOT use a pen or pencil, it may not engage the RESET button properly. If the RESET button is engaged properly, the LIBRE will shut off and the display will go blank.



Now press and hold the “>” key (the button to the right of the OK button) and POWER button simultaneously until you see an image of trash can with an "X" on it. You will receive a warning message about the data being erased but only the internal memory will be erased. The free eBooks on the SD card will not be affected. Press OK. You should then see an animation of files transferring. Just let the LIBRE process the update and it will tell you whether or not the update was successful. If successful, just turn Off your LIBRE and then turn it On again to use it.
