How do I reset my Libre?

To properly reset the LIBRE, by press and hold the RESET button on the back of the LIBRE for 5 seconds using a paperclip or toothpick. Please DO NOT use a pen or pencil, it may not engage the RESET button. If the RESET button is correctly engaged, the LIBRE will shut down and the screen will go blank. Then power ON the LIBRE by pressing and holding the POWER button until the Aluratek logo shows on the screen and release the POWER button. The Main Menu should display shortly thereafter. Thereafter, to power ON/OFF the LIBRE, simply press and release the POWER button.

I just purchased some eBooks online and saved them to my SD card but I can't open them.

In order to open DRM-restricted ePub or PDF eBooks, you need to open them in Adobe Digital Editions and then save the eBook to the LIBRE using Digital Editions. If you just copy the eBook directly to the SD card using your PC, the LIBRE will not open the eBook. I downloaded the firmware update, what do I do now?

The file downloaded is a ZIP file that contains a folder titled “AEBK01F”. Inside the folder is another folder titled "firmware" and a PDF file of instructions on how to update the firmware. Copy the folder titled "firmware" to the SD card and then follow the instructions detailed on the PDF file.

ou cannot save purchased eBooks directly to the SD card. You will not be able to open them this way because they are DRM-restricted.
To save books from Digital Editions to your LIBRE, please power On your LIBRE and connect it to your PC. Then open the Digital Editions program on your PC. When the Digital Editions window opens, please make sure you are in the LIBRARY VIEW by pressing the icon on the top left corner of the Digital Editions window that looks like three books standing next to each other.

In the LIBRARY VIEW, you will see the icons of the ebooks in your library on right side of the Digital Editions window and your LIBRE will show as an icon labeled "LIBRE ebook reader PRO" in the lower left portion of the window under BOOKSHELVES.

To copy ebooks to your LIBRE, simply drag and drop the icon of the ebook on top of the icon of the LIBRE. You will see a progress bar showing that it is saving the ebook to your LIBRE's internal memory. This process authorizes your ebook to be opened on your LIBRE.

You should now be able to disconnect your LIBRE and open the ebook on your LIBRE.
