    Default Kindle App on Android

    New Poster.
Not exactly a Kindle, but using the app on 2 slates and an iPhone. Love the reading style, the best we have seen yet. Great downloading Kindle ebooks. One problem - I have a ton (literally) of Mobipocket ebooks, most non-DRM. I cannot get the Kindle app to recognise them regardless of what I do. I have tried emailing them, transfer by USB, direct copy to the micro sd card - noe have worked. A couple have showed up greyed out on the Home Page, then the app crashes. Remove the book, and it is fine agai.
Can someone with more knowledge than I help out? Thanks.

I would convert those books to PRC with Caliber! Have you used it before? http://calibre-ebook.com/ is the DL link, import your books and then convert them to PRC format, see if that helps.

Thanks for that, I have used Calibre, tried converting to mobi, that didn't seem to work, though I will try PRC. Where do I put them on the Micro SD Card.

OK, I have now put my books onto Kindle for Mac (registered) however they do not show up on my other registered Kindle devices (Android Slate x 2 and Kindle for iPhone.)
    What is happening here?

you can simply copy the mobi or prc files directly to your kindle using Windows Explorer, and just copy/paste the books.

Thanks, I run Apple Mac on the PC, and Android Slates and an iPhone. My difficulty has always been getting the others to recognise the books. Do they need to go to a specific folder.
In any case, if they are showing up on the Kindle Mac, shouldn't they synch across to the other devices as well. The books I have purchased from Amazon Kindle all show up, just not the ones from this site, or other DRM free Mobi books as well.
