There is an announcement form HP that can far reaching implications, some surprises and a few heart breaks. They have revealed they have had enough of Windows 7 and would have none of the operating system any more. For them, the Windows 7 is a closed chapter. Instead, they look towards devoting all their resources on the WebOS, the popular operating system from their newly acquired Palm company.
The revelation came from HP vice president, Mr. Todd Bradle VP.
There has been no response from Microsoft on this latest salvo from HP. It might be recalled Microsoft had announced at the recently concluded Partners Conference of an impending device from HP with Windows 7 as the operating system. HP itself had announced just a few days back they will be making the Slate for the enterprising sector based on the Windows 7. It remains to be seen if the new policy will cover the Slate.
The latest announcement will surely deal a blow to Microsoft’s efforts to promote the Windows 7 as a viable operating system for mobile devices.
