Default The new Kindle WI-FI is sold out

So its like being back to the square one. The ‘out of stock‘ stuff had started with the Kindle 2 though it turned out to be a smart ploy on part of Amazon to introduce their new third generation Kindle. And now it has come to effect the new Kindle which too is now carrying the ‘Temporarily Out of Stock’ tag that we are soon getting familiar with. All those who are vying for the Kindle are being greeted with a ‘Order now to reserve your place in line’ notice though the company is not letting out any reason behind the Kindle supply getting saturated so quickly.

It was just a few days ago that the new lighter and smaller Kindles were introduced in two versions and with two color options. The 3G and the WiFi only versions cost $139 and $189 respectively and both the versions in both colors have gone off the market. There is no official conformation from Amazon if its due to an extraordinary surge in demand or there is a terrible deficit in supply lines somewhere. However, the larger screened Kindle DX continues to be available as usual.

The Kindle story had temporarily lost its steam with the launch of the iPad but Amazon’s move to slash prices of both the Kindle 2 and the DX versions had brought them back right in with Amazon reporting a three fold rise in sales. Their next move was the launch of the third gen Kindle and if the latest Kindles are out of stock due to a resurgence in demand than the Kindles are definitely back, and back with a bang.
Amazon had started taking pre-orders for the new Kindle on July 28 with deliveries slated to begin from August 27. Orders are still being accepted which Amazon had said will be fulfilled on a first come first basis beginning September 4.
No sales figures were revealed by Amazon as of now.

Well if it was out of stock when I posted it this morning then I would not have posted it. I posted it as soon as the deal hit another dot.com site and the deal was still good. I went to the site and verified, The site showed that the deal was still good for 1 day and whatever hours. I then immediately post the deal here. Any rational person should have know that the deal would sell out in a couple of minutes since word travels fast.
