The PocketBook Verse Pro Color which was first introduced about two months back is now available to buy. The 6-inch e-reader can be bought from Amazon for $169 though it can also be ordered via PocketBook or other retail locations as well.
The e-reader impresses with its compact build, measuring just 10.8 x 15.6 x 0.76 cm in dimension while weighing an equally convenient 182 grams. The 6-inch Kaleido 3 display offers 300 PPI resolution in black-and-white mode, which drops to 150 PPI when viewing colored content. The built-in SMARTlight feature will let you adjust the color tone of the display, thereby ensuring the most optimum reading experience each time, irrespective of the ambient lighting conditions. Sensors onboard include a G-sensor and a cover sensor.
The Verse Pro Color also boasts an IPX8-rated waterproof build, which means you can carry it to the poolside or to the beach without worrying about the e-reader getting water damaged. A convenient feature of the Verse Pro Color is its support for audiobooks. It also comes with a text-to-speech feature and can read aloud any e-book for you. The e-reader also supports Bluetooth 5.4 which will let you attach external speakers or headphones if you’d like to have a more immersive listening experience.
It otherwise also features a USB-C port for wired connectivity or for charging the battery. PocketBook is claiming the 2100 mAh battery can last a month on a single charge. Under the hood lies a quad-core processor along with 1 GB of memory and 16 GB of storage. It supports a wide range of e-book formats as well as the CBR and CBZ file formats for reading comics. Besides, it can also support six audiobook formats as well. It gets online via dual-band Wi-Fi while the integrated bookstore offers plenty of options when it comes to reading e-books, audiobooks, comics, and such. The e-reader comes in a shade of Stormy Sea.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
