Barnes and Noble Readouts launched last year on their Nook Glowlight Plus e-Reader and Samsung for Nook tablets. Readouts features author interviews, previews on new and upcoming books. A few weeks ago B&N enhanced this system with serialized fiction. A revolving library of content is featured both on the home screen and in the Readouts section itself, new content is updated daily or weekly.
Readouts helps readers discover new books to read and the experience can be customized. You can select specific genres that interest you and remove the ones that do not. Every Friday Readouts is populated with a ton of freebies, but you have to opt into it.
Over the years many users fled the Nook ecosystem and switched to one of their competitors, such as Amazon or Kobo. Nook Readouts is doing something that is very distinctive in the market. If you want to find out what Readouts is all about, check out our video below.
