Here are a few more Amazon tablet rumors, and this time there are some changes in the usual storyline that has been going round for a while now. The upcoming Amazon tablets might not have the quad core NVIDIA T30 "Kal-El" System on Chip after all, as the latest rumor presumes it's a chip from Texas Instruments that might be seen at the core of the final product.
So while there is some confusion added to the CPU aspect of the Amazon tablet, Digitimes is also reporting Wintek touch panel displays would make up the front of the tablet, while the entire thing will be put together by equipment maker Quanta. Further, as per reports currently available, Amazon has set for itself a quite ambitious target of selling anywhere between 700,000 to 800,000 of the tablets every month. This translates to a healthy 4 million sales figure by the end of this calendar year if the tablets indeed goes on sale in August, as is being speculated. Ambitious as the target is, let's not forget Amazon does know a thing or two about selling things and selling them cheap enough to tickle consumer senses.
Remember, we are expecting two tablets from Amazon - the 7 inch Coyote and the bigger 10 inch Hollywood. To confirm whether it's a dual core or a quad core that the tablet will have at its core, we will have to wait until the next rumor or leak sets things right.
