Onyx Boox has a grand spring event lined up for April 9, 2025, and the company has some exciting plans lined up. There are going to be new products launched during the time, which includes the new Leaf 5 e-reader and new smart office notebook T13C sporting a color e-paper display. Not surprisingly, details on either are missing at the moment.

The only image that we have of the T13C – courtesy of ITHome – shows a notebook device that will supposedly come with a color e-paper display. The device will likely come with a 13-inch display; hence, it is being named T13C. The company is claiming it to be the first ‘high-end color ink office notebook’ which should be tailored for use in an office environment. The image also shows a stylus pen, which you will be able to use to make inputs directly on the display.

It is not known, though, if the display is going to be detachable and used as a stand-alone tablet device, which is when jotting down notes using the stylus makes greater sense. That said, it being termed as a notebook device above anything else, chances are that the display may not be detachable. Rather, may be it can be pushed all the way back for ease in note taking.

Coming to the Leaf 5, here again, information is scarce at best. The only thing known is that the e-reader will come with a 7-inch E Ink Carta 1300 black and white screen. The display will also benefit from afterimage self-clearing 2.0 technology to ensure clear displays and faster page turns. All of this should allow for a superior reading experience.

The basic design layout remains the same, which is similar to that of the Kindle Oasis. There are going to be physical page-turn buttons placed on the thicker edge, which also serves as a nice placeholder for holding the e-reader while reading. The e-reader is going to be available in shades of black, white, and gold.

We will have complete details on April 9. So, stay tuned.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
