Have you ever heard about Send to Kindle? This service allows you to connect your Amazon account and send digital content directly to your device. Rakuten Kobo has finally issued their service called Send to Kobo and the first integration is with NetGalley. Kobo has just announced that their partnership with NetGalley went live today.

NetGalley is a company that specializes in Advanced Reader’s Copy (ARC) e-book titles. These are pre-releases typically sent to book reviewers and media prior to the official release. This system is why, when a book is available on Amazon or Kobo, the product description is already populated with reviews from notable authors, news agencies, and book review blogs.

NetGalley recently underwent maintenance that added the “Send to Kobo” feature. It’s easy to use. Simply log in to your NetGalley account, add your Kobo login and password, and any e-book on NetGalley can be automatically sent to your Kobo and synced on your e-reader or the Kobo reading apps for Android or iOS.

“This partnership with NetGalley reflects our dedication to a more open approach to digital reading, where readers have more control over the way they experience books,” said Rakuten Kobo CEO, Michael Tamblyn. “By launching with easy ‘Send to Kobo’ ePub support, we are giving NetGalley members what we hope is the best possible reading experience, taking full advantage of the format’s flexibility and customization options on their Kobo devices and in the Kobo app. We’re excited to see how this integration enhances the way readers discover and engage with new books, and we’re committed to expanding format support as we move forward.”
