There is an announcement form HP that can far reaching implications, some surprises, and a few heartbreaks. They have revealed they have had enough of Windows 7 and would have none of the operating system any more. For them, the Windows 7 is a closed chapter. Instead, they look towards devoting all their resources to the WebOS, the popular operating system from their newly acquired Palm company.
The revelation came from HP vice president, Mr. Todd Bradle VP.
There has been no response from Microsoft on this latest salvo from HP. Recall that Microsoft had announced at the recently concluded Partners Conference of an impending device from HP with Windows 7 as the operating system. HP itself had announced just a few days back they will be making the Slate for the enterprising sector based on the Windows 7. It remains to be seen if the new policy will cover the Slate.
The latest announcement will surely deal a blow to Microsoft’s efforts to promote the Windows 7 as a viable operating system for mobile devices.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
