Janet Evanovich this year joined the exclusive Kindle Millions club for authors who have sold over a million ebooks. Her seminal Stephanie Plum series is beloved by millions and soon will be getting the movie treatment.
The movie is based on the first book in the series called One for the Money and features an unemployed and newly-divorced Stephanie Plum landing a job at her cousin’s bail-bond business, where her first assignment puts her on the trail of a wanted local cop from her romantic past. The movie is due to be released in 2012 and if it does well at could spin off into other movies about her other 18 books in the series.
