Apple has unveiled its very own mobile ad platform on the 7th of this month itself, just four days after its iPad began to be delivered. This follows the launch of the iPad and keeping with the “i” suffixed brand naming theme, Apple has named this platform as the iAd. And it’s being heralded as the next big thing from Apple.
Apple had made this known in the beginning of this year when it acquired Quattro Wireless, the mobile advertising company. There is lack of any ad agency in the mobile market and Apple as usual wants to be the first to take advantage of such a scenario with this pioneering launch. Google is the first and also the one to be worst hit by this launch as their revenue model on similar lines would surely be affected.
Though it yet remains undercover but it is only fair and logical to assume that there would be near similarity with Google Adwords’ self serving model.
The outcome of this venture would be one more marking milestone in the progression of the mobile gadget. Just like Google received huge advertisements when it came out with the search engine, similarly Apple would gain advertisement of the massive plethora of mobile makers that are currently buzzing in the market.
Apple has a long way to go to fructify all results that this project is supposed to give and one has to wait and watch till then.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
