Any plans for a North American baseband? FDD-LTE B5 and
B7 offers almost zero coverage on Verizon, AT&T, Bell and Rogers.
It needs B4 B12 B13 and B17 as a minimum or it’s pretty much going to be a brick.
Sanjeev –
Hello, I ordered A5 Pro CC on your store on May 27th, because you showed it as “In Stock”. Now, I am seeing that it is delayed until June 15th. So, basically, it was not in stock and you showed it as in stock? What will happen to my order? I called the phone number and emailed to the email id given in the order. But, the phone and email there is no response.
Michael Kozlowski –
When it is in stock, we will send it out.
Ferdi –
Dies google play app store works on Hisense A5C ?
Sanjeev –
Thank you, looking forward to June 15th.
ryo –
the same thing happened to me,too…

Received the A5 Pro CC in Japan today, thank you. Works fine with a Voice/SMS/Data nano-SIM card from NTT DoCoMo (purchased through OCN Mobile ONE).
Sanjeev –
Hello, is the A5 Pro CC in yet? I am waiting for update on my order. Please let me know.
Xingfan Xia –
is this in stock?
Morningstar –
Did you receive your phone? I’d like to buy it but if it is not in stock, I’d rather wait.
Noguo –
I made my order 2 weeks ago but I still don’t see any update of it. It’s been indicated as processing 2 weeks without any further informations.
Sanjeev –
Don’t know if it is in stock. I ordered it over 6-weeks ago when it showed as in stock. As others have written here, there was no update on the order status for many days. I sent emails to the support, called their “Phenomenal Support” phone line where it only rings and goes to voicemail, left my details, no one called back. Finally, about 2 weeks back I got an email with a tracking number. It said the shipping originated in Canada. The expected date showed July 7. The mail website (not this website) shows arrival in my country on June 29. After that it is silent. Today is July 8. And the mail website now shows just “delayed – pending new date”. Other than being blindly patient and wondering about the wait, don’t know what else to do.
Sanjeev –
After 6 weeks of wait, finally received the phone yesterday! Keep in mind that this is international shipping and the tracking updates are as good as not there. Now about the phone. It is usable, but not for everybody. With its bands, my t-mobile gets only 2G. So, data crawls. The small manuals and on-device help and many other parts are only in Chinese. The screen is good. The shiny cover does not bother me. All the hardware works very well. Calls work well. The battery life appears to be great. However, the colors appear to be washed off. The resolution is very grainy. It is like first generation TV. Don’t expect solid or vibrant colors or text.
The biggest challenge is with installing the apps. Since there is not Google Play, one needs to find other ways. Fortunately, the phone comes with a good launcher and a a host of great configuration options in the settings. Except a few, all the Chinese apps can uninstalled. I downloaded my apks mainly from the APK Mirror site, and a few from my old phone. Except a couple, all of them installed fine. Google Drive does not work. Google Maps works but cannot sign in to your Google account. The biggest problem I ran into was with the email apps. The phone comes with a messaging app that has no problem with the status bar. But the phone does not come with an email app. None of the email apps would show the icons in the status bar. Even to get the notification sounds and vibrate to work, I had to try multiple apps. It was also difficult to get the calendar sync work. I had to tweak many settings. Now, it the notification sounds and calendar sync seems to work. But apparently the status bar icon and lock screen notifications not possible without Google Play. WhatsApp worked in the same way without status bar.
It is a whole different way to use a phone. I will try to keep using it as my primary phone as it is much easier on the eyes than the regular phones.
Sanjeev –
I received it. See my quick review posted above.
Morningstar –
Hello there! With all the drawbacks you mention, do you still recommend it? I just have paid for one and I am thinking to use it as my daily driver… Thank you!
Sanjeev –
I really like the device, battery, the screen and its back light. I can live without the lock screen and status bar notifications. High res camera is not important for me. However, there are two main issues: not being able to use Google services like Google Photos, Google Drive, Google Docs is a problem for me. Even if I ignore that. just having 2G data is probably going to make this phone unusable when I step outside the WiFi zone after the current global lockdown situation. I have tried it outside/without WiFi, and the data/internet is very slow, to the point it is not practical. Though the specs say support for 4G, different phone companies support different bands. Tmobile USA does not support the 4G band of this phone. So depending on what you want to do with the phone and where you live, you can decide.
Morningstar –
Many thanks for your answer. It was very useful!
Noguo –
Hello there.
Did you get a tracking number on it before you received it? I’m waiting almost a month and I want to know whether I will be noticed with shipment or not.
Thanks.
Sanjeev –
I received the tracking number after almost a month.
AJ (verified owner) –
Which email app are you using? I can’t seem to get any to work.
Sanjeev –
I am using BlueMail.
Noguo –
Today I’ve got the tracking number of my package. That number is for domestic transport in Japan although the tracking systems says it’s not registered yet. Usually(even during this pandemic) a domestic package is expected arriving in 2 days so I will see tomorrow if it really comes or not.
Noguo –
Thanks. Finally I got my tracking number.
Noguo –
Finally I received my phone today.
