“Consumers are seeking cutting-edge mobile computing devices and we look forward to giving them another great choice with the Acer Iconia Tab A501,” stated the Vice President of Business Development for AT&T Emerging Devices, Mr. David Haight before also adding, “This tablet is packed with features that will enable HD gaming and exceptional video playback. It offers a first-class on-the-go entertainment experience.”
The tablet will be ready for a market debut only towards the second quarter of the year which is when the pricing information is also likely to be revealed.
As for the Iconia Tab, its one more in the rapidly swellings ranks of Honeycomb tablets and of course, with Honeycomb in the scene, dual core CPU’s are bound to be there too. Acer’s Iconia Tab conforms to that with the NVIDIA Tegra 250 dual core processor running at 1 Ghz. The tablet will have a 10 inch WXGA multitouch screen and will be able to output 1080p HD video via its HDMI port. These apart, the Iconia Tab will also include front and rear facing cameras along with other usual stuff though all of those are yet to be confirmed.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in the world of technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles as well, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. Motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot and maybe I’ll make a film sometime in the future.
