Amazon is designing a new version of its website ahead of the launch of its brand new $250 tablet. This new device is set to truly rival the Apple iPad in terms of price and ecosystem.
The new Amazon website is said to be more tablet friendly with a bigger search bar and less clutter. It will also emphasize ebooks, music, digital games, and the Amazon Android App Store.
Amazon started rolling out the new design in the last days of August, spokeswoman Sally Fouts said in an email on Sunday.
“We are continuing to roll out the new design to additional customers, but I can’t speculate on when the new design will be live for everyone,” Fouts wrote.
