Barnes and Noble released their new Nook Tablet 10.1 this week and they have finally unveiled the accessories. The Charging Dock allows you to constantly keep it powered while listening to audiobooks or watching movies. It retails for $34.95 and comes with a limited 20% off discount using the code STACKED. The Smart Folio Cover with Keyboard comes with a magnetic clip that attaches to your table,no pairing required. You will be able to take notes or pen that great American novel. It retails for $39.95 and also comes with a 20% discount, using the same promo code as the charging dock.
This is the first time that Barnes and Noble has ever released these kind of accessories for a tablet. Normally they just have carrying cases and screen protectors, so hopefully if sales are robust, they will continue to manufacture these kind of things.
B&N only released one 10.1 in the past, it was a Samsung branded device that originally debuted in 2014. The resolution of the 2018 Nook Tablet 10.1 is 1920 x 12000 Pixels and has 224 PPI. It provides up to 8.5 hours of reading watching videos and web browsing. It has 2GB of RAM and it runs a quad core Mediatek processor (MT8167A). There is 32GB of storage and supports microSD cards up to 256GB in size.
This device is running Google Android 8.1 and you will be able to install all of your favorite apps via Google Play. Barnes and Noble told me that they skinned the UI differently on this tablet, then the Nook Tablet 7 that came out last year.
