Toshiba’s second attempt at a tablet device is proving to be a rerun of sorts of what the Folio 100 met with. The Thrive is reported to be facing some serious power management issues that is making the tablet behave in the most weird manner. For instance, the Thrive often won’t just wake up from sleep thus requiring a hard reboot. If that is not all, some have reported to be facing just the opposite of this with their Thrive coming on on its own. It seems the Thrives are playing a trick of sorts and no body knows the way out just yet.
There has been some instances of a few who claim to have been able to get around this by tinkering with the Wi-Fi disconnect and screen timeout settings though this hasn’t worked out in the same manner for all. The lack of inconsistency in the problem is only making things that much more intriguing as apart from the opposing nature of the problem, there are many who are claiming to have had a fine experience with the Thrive so far.
Toshiba hasn’t come out with anything officially just yet though Best Buy returns are going up with each passing day. Let’s just hope Toshiba comes out with a solution just in time to ensure there isn’t a repeat of the fate that the Folio 100 met with. The tablet that Toshiba had launched earlier in the year was withdrawn after mounting reports of problems with the device.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
