When kids are on summer vacation, sometimes they run wild and forget about books until the next school year. Parents who foster the love of reading and instill it into their children have an option at their local Barnes & Noble bookstore. The bookseller has just launched their summer reading program.
Enrolling in the program is free. The Summer Reading page on the Barnes and Noble website has a reading journal. Kids have to read eight books of any kind from July to August. All they have to do is enter the book name, author, and what they liked about it. Bring the completed journal into any B& N bookstore from July 1 to August 31, 2025, and they can select a free book from a list that is in the reading journal.
Barnes & Noble has only been running the Summer Reading campaign for a couple of years, but it is a good way to keep your little one busy and reading with a goal in mind. This applies not only to print books but also to audiobooks and e-books.
