Harper Collins bet really big this year on Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee. The book became an instant bestseller with over 1 million copies sold in the first week and bookstores all over the world racked in a ton of cash. In order to generate even more revenue, Harper Collins has partnered with US bookseller Books-a-million, for a special edition of Go Set a Watchman and it costs $1,500.
The special edition “Go Set a Watchman” package includes a hardcover bound in leather with debossed gold foil stamping on the front, spine and back cover; gold gilded edges; and printed endpapers. The book is enclosed in an elegant, two-color cloth box lined in velvet with a magnet closure, silk ribbon pull, and inscriptions on the interior of the box.
