Chooseco is the company that has produced the Choose your own Adventure books for decades. They have just partnered with Amazon and Audible for a series of old titles that have been developed into Alexa Skills. Chooseco has selected Journey Under the Sea (which takes place in the lost city of Atlantis), and The Abominable Snowman, set in the Himalayas. To access the books, you can use the command: “Alexa, open Choose Your Own Adventure.”
The stories are easy to navigate and they are accompanied by dramatic music and when it’s time to make a decision, the familiar Alexa prompt will beep. Choose one of the presented options, and the story will carry on until you survive, or until you meet your demise. You can also easily go back if you feel like you made the wrong decision.
This skill will work with any Alexa enabled smart speaker system and it is available now.
