eStories has just launched a new audiobook business and the company offers over 80,000 titles. You will be able to purchase audio editions from major publishers such as Hachette, Macmillan, and Penguin Random House.
In order to buy audiobooks from eStories you have to sign up for a monthly membership package for $11.99. You get one audio credit per month and if you do not use them, they carry over to the next month. If you want to buy an audio title you get a 33% discount by being a member. Almost everything that you purchase or download will be DRM-Free. If you want access to even more content you can purchase the Plus membership for $21.99 and get two credits per month or $49.99 per month for 5 credits.
You can listen to the audiobooks you download via the web or their official apps for Android or iOS. In order to make their service more accessible they are offering an unlimited amount of cloud storage so you can upload your entire audiobook collection to their servers and listen to them all with one of the eStories apps.
There are many companies right now that sell audiobooks individually or encourage you to purchase a monthly membership. Almost every company sources their catalog from Findaway, except Audible which has their own system. With so many choices I think companies like eStories has to get curation and recommendations right.
