Michelle Williams will be narrating the upcoming memoir of Britney Spears. The audiobook named “The Woman in Me,” which is likely to be released on October 24, will only feature a short intro by Spears. The remaining book will be narrated by American actress Michelle Willams.
As per the official website, the book is a “brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope.” It’s also likely to feature her 13-year conservatorship (which was eventually terminated in 2021) and its impact on her life.
According to Spear’s statement to People, “The Woman in Me” is a book that covers the labor of love and all the emotions. She also mentioned the reason why she wouldn’t be reading the entire book. “Reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching, and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook,” she added.
Spears showed her gratitude towards five-time Oscar nominee Michelle Willams. “I am so grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams for reading the rest of it,” she said. Williams, on the other hand, is just as supportive and “stands with Britney.”
People also reported earlier that the “Princess of Pop” is working on the final touches of the book. This means fans will soon be able to read/listen to the incredible memoir of their favorite singer.
Britney Spears’s “The Woman in Me” was announced back in July. After her announcement, the pop singer mentioned in a video tease how she worked hard for the book. “I had a lot of therapy to get this book done, so you guys better like it. If you don’t like it, that’s fine too,” she mentioned. The audiobook version will be released with other editions of the book for readers.
