Bigme is trying very hard to compete against Onyx Boox and Dasung in the e-paper monitor space. Bigme is poised to release its first color e-paper dedicated monitor. To date, it has only issued an all-in-one PC with a super expensive price tag. It will employ Kaleido 3 and use its super refresh system to eliminate ghosting and ensure customers can be productive while using something that is easy on the eyes for long sessions.
The upcoming 13.3-inch Bigme monitor is the company’s first external screen to display colors. The pixel density for color content is 150 PPI, which would indicate a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels at an aspect ratio of 4:3. The refresh rate of 30Hz might sound slow compared to modern OLED or LCD monitors, but for a color e-ink panel it’s rather smooth
The full specs are unknown since they have not officially announced it yet, but they are teasing the release on Reddit. However, it should have USB-C, HDMI, and hopefully a Displayport. It will also be compatible with both macOS and Windows. The price is unknown, but hopefully, we won’t have to wait that long.
