A new campaign is going to launch in the second week of November by Sourcebooks and Publishers Weekly called Love Your Bookstore. Free books will be sent out to people who post on Instagram and Twitter who use the hashtag #loveyourbookstore. Basically to win free stuff all you need to do is post a photo, quote, or story about your favorite bookstore.
Bookstores who want to promote this campaign will have full access to imagery that they can use on their website or social media channels.
“Bookstores are amazing and important places for us all culturally, and we know that booksellers help readers discover and share the magic of books,” said Dominique Raccah, publishers CEO of Sourcebooks and a member of the steering committee that created the campaign. “They create communities of readers that make a difference because books change lives. We want to give everyone a way to celebrate their favorite bookstore.”
Love Your Bookstore will debut on Saturday, November 10, and run through Friday, November 16. It remains to be seen if this will be an annual thing or not, but the organizers hope so.
