Marvel Insider is a rewards program launched in 2016. It allows comic book readers to gain points through Marvel-related purchases and experiences and redeem them for various unique rewards, from physical comics and merchandise to digital downloads, games, and more. Marvel has announced that Insiders is being discontinued on March 3, 2025. After that date, you will no longer be able to earn points. You will still be able to redeem rewards through May 27, 2025.
Marvel has posted a FAQ on the semantics so you can understand what the points can be redeemed for and how to download everything before the cutoff date. However, the company did not explain why it is shutting down because “Our members’ passion and fandom for Marvel means the world to us. Thank you for your amazing loyalty over the years, and we hope you will continue to be a True Believer.”
This is not the first time a comic and digital platform has recently closed its doors. Dark Horse Digital closed its digital comic book service, and Diamond Comic Distributors went bankrupt.
