Facebook has released a news app for the iPhone and iPad called Notify. It features content from CBS,CNN, Fox News, Washington Post and Vogue.
In addition to selecting different alert categories, Facebook users can also select opt-in to receive alerts based on their location. This might be important if you live in areas that frequently have rock slides, storms or a tornado.
Notify is only available in the United States at the moment, with no plans for international expansion.
