National Novel Writing Month has kicked off and seeks to challenge authors to writing a novel within 30 days. The organization offers a myriad of prizes and incentives to encourage diligent authors to produce some great literary content. HarperCollins might be sweetening the pot with its imprint Avon Impulse and is looking for romance orientated books to secure a possible publishing deal.
The community for NaRoWriMo (National Romance Writing Month) is fairly vibrant and the editors of Avon will be making themselves available for the duration of the month. They will track authors’ progress and offer answers to specific questions. When November is over, the company has mandated that authors have until the end of December to submit their manuscript. You can submit to their author portal HERE and make sure to put NaRoWriMo in the subject line. The company is exclusively looking for romance books that have 50,000 words or above.
