Bestselling author Jennifer Weiner has just signed a new book deal with with Aladdin Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing. She will pen a new trilogy of books that are aimed at middle grade youth.
The first book in the new trilogy will be titled The Littlest Bigfoot that will be released in October 2016. The second edition will debut in April 2017 and the third later that October. “We are excited to work with Jennifer Weiner on this new project,” says Anastas, who acquired the trilogy. “Jen has taken what’s made her adult novels so beloved–relatable characters, spot-on friendships, and plenty of humor–and created a trilogy for younger girls who will become lifelong fans.”
Weiner published her debut, Good in Bed, in 2001, and went on to write In Her Shoes (2002), which was made into a major motion picture starring Cameron Diaz, Toni Collette and Shirley MacLaine; Little
Earthquakes (2004); Goodnight Nobody (2005); the short story collection The Guy Not Taken (2006); Certain Girls (2008); Best Friends Forever (2009); Fly Away Home (2010); Then Came You (2011); The Next Best Thing (2012); All Fall Down (2014), and Who Do You Love (2015).
