Read an eBook Week is an annual event that started in 2011. Every year a number of online retailers put together promotions and free e-books to get people into the habit of reading digitally. This year, Read an eBook week begins March 6 and ends March 12th.
There have not been any major announcements yet on who is participating in the program this year, but indie-publishing giant Smashwords is currently putting together a promotion. They are asking authors to give their titles away for free or discount them between 25% and 75%. They also list a number of online resources where you can download free titles.
I think this is the first year since the program first began, that no major company hyping anything in advance. Do you plan on celebrating Read an Book week?
