Onyx Boox has announced the launch of its first 25.3-inch color E Ink monitor – the Mira Pro Color. This can be considered a color upgrade of the Mira Pro monitor, which too spans 25.3 inches but comes with a monochrome e-paper display. The Mira Pro Color comes with a 25.3-inch 3,200 x 1,800 resolution Kaleido 3 color display, which supports 4096 colors and 16 levels of grayscale.
The new color Monitor is similar to the Mira Pro except for the color makeover for the display. This makes the monitor an ideal choice for those whose job demands a color display. For instance, if you need to review color-coded dashboards, analyze data, or work with complex graphics, the new Mira Pro Color is going to be best for you. With built-in speakers, the monitor can also be used for media consumption or content creation.
As is typical of Kaleido 3 displays, you will still have the paper-like feel with almost zero strain on the eyes. Among the other positives are wide viewing angles as well as excellent readability, even in brightly lit environments. The adjustable dual-tone front light ensures a comfortable reading experience in any ambient lighting conditions. You will even be able to work in complete darkness as well.
The 25.3-inch display is also large enough for comfortable split-screen viewing. This allows for more efficient multitasking or for displaying documents in greater detail. Power drawn in is minimal at best, though that is going to depend a lot on the usage. Typically, monitors go through more frequent changes of the display than e-reader devices.
The Mira Pro Color also comes with the Boox Super Refresh (BSR) technology. This ensures faster and more effective changes in display with minimal ghosting effect. The monitor also offers four pre-set refresh modes. You can opt for the one that suits you best, depending on the work being done. That includes reading, writing, browsing documents, or watching videos. Apart from different refresh modes, there is also Dark Color Enhancement and Light Color Filter features for a more customized and optimum viewing experience.
Coming to ports, the Mira Pro Color features an HDMI, a mini HDMI, a USB Type-C, a DP, and a DC ports. This ensures the monitor can be paired with an existing office setup easily. That can be computers, tablets, smartphones, and so on. When it comes to operating systems, the monitor is compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, and iPadOS.
The monitor is accompanied by an ergonomic stand that holds the monitor firmly but allows enough flexibility to ensure a comfortable viewing angle. This can be achieved by adjusting the monitor’s height or tilt for the best viewing experience. With VESA interface, it can be mounted on a wall as well.
The Mira Pro Color can be ordered via the official Boox Shop.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
