Samsung Electronics made a splash at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), Europe’s largest display technology exhibition. The exhibition is among the most reputed in its category and is known to set new benchmarks when it comes to the launch of new innovative products and technologies. Companies strive to showcase their best innovations at the event.
Samsung came out on top at the event and won several awards at the ISE 2025 event for its sustainable digital signage solutions. That includes the Samsung Color E-Paper module (model EMDX) that was first introduced at the event. The module boasts a slim and lightweight build while the color e-paper display too has been thoroughly impressive.
Content can be updated using the mobile app that the display module comes with or via the Samsung VXT (Visual eXperience Transformation) software platform and content management solution (CMS). No wonder, the Samsung Color E-Paper went on to win several awards, which include the ‘Best of Show’ award at ISE 2025 in the ‘AV Technology’, ‘Digital Signage’, and ‘Installation’ categories.
As is true of e-paper displays, the Samsung Color E-Paper requires very little power for its operation, consuming just 0.00W when showing a static display. Power is drawn only when the display changes. The display is completely glare-free and very soothing to the eyes. Another huge positive of the display and which is extremely relevant to public display solutions is its wide viewing angles.
Another aspect that makes the Samsung Color E-Paper unique is its sheer size. At 75 inches, it clearly is the largest color e-paper display ever made and beats the previous largest color e-paper display, the Philips Tableaux 5150I which spanned 32 inches. Among the other salient features of the display include 5K resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Power comes from a rechargeable 5,000 mAh battery that otherwise can last months on a single charge. The display module supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and comes with 8 gigs of storage onboard.
Among the other Samsung displays that won awards at the ISE 2025 event include the HoloDisplay which won the ‘Best of Show’ award in the ‘Installation’ category at ISE 2025. The HoloDisplay uses a transparent MICRO LED display to create a 3D projected image that makes the display have a floating effect.
There also is the new 2025 interactive display equipped with Samsung AI Assistant that won the Best of Show award in the ‘Tech & Learning’ category at the event. The display is meant for use in the education sector where students and teachers can have a more interactive learning experience.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
